Do you like drinking clean and refreshing white wines? Do you enjoy hearty and muscular
reds? If so, you should get it on the action with Grand Vin Hoboken’s inaugural winemaker dinner with Mattia Scarbolo, of Azienda Agricola Scarbolo in Friuli, Italy on Monday April 25th.
Mattia and his family craft unique, flavorful, and scrumptious wines from a bevy of indigenous and international varieties. The region of Friuli is in the northeast pocket of Italy, and is an ideal place to make high-quality wines, and the region is most famous for the high-quality white wines produced there.
On Monday, April 25th, Mattia will be showcasing 4 of his family’s wines, and each wine will be paired with a typical Friulian dish. As each course is served, Mattia will wax poetic about the corresponding wine and instantly transport you to Friuli – a land where vines gently roll among the hillsides and the Italian Alps loom deep in the distant horizon. The menu is represented below:
Pinot Grigio (Ramato) with San Daniele Prosciutto and Montasio DOP cheese
Sauvignon Blanc – Linguini with shrimp and fresh herbs
- Cabernet – gnocchi with asparagus and mushrooms
- Refosco – sauteed sausage and polenta
- Moscato with seasonal dessert
Tickets are $65 (inclusive of tax). Reservations can made for any time on Monday evening by calling Grand Vin directly at (201)-656-0012, emailing at firstname.lastname@example.org, or making a reservation on opentable.com.
